Redefining Normal

TEDxUCDavisSF is bringing a great collaboration of speakers, spanning across multiple continents, who are helping shape this new normal.

The theme Redefining Normal looks to how we, as a society, can make this world a better place for current and future generations. During the course of our lives, what we consider to be normal changes as our lives evolve. Our personal interests change as do our responsibilities. What was considered normal 20, even 10 years ago, is not the same as what is consider normal today. These same shifts also occur in society, and we are witnesses to some of those changes now. Previously the world was made up of separate countries focused on its own welfare. Now we see the world as a global community, what happens in other parts of the world is no longer constrained by geography, especially with the development of advanced technology. Many of the things we strive for today are no longer as much about individual success but rather about what and how we can give back. We are looking to focus on the changes that are occurring and how they are disrupting on our view in society.
