Michelle Yoo – Lead Organizer / Dir. of Marketing
A strong advocate for patient healthcare and saving lives, Michelle has been working in the Medical Device Industry for more than nine years. At Varian Medical Systems, she currently contributes to the improvement of Oncology & Radiation Surgery fields. A UCLA Alumni and Bay Area native, Michelle loves to go to the beach, skydive, and play her prized cello.
Jeremiah Kim – Lead Organizer
Graduating from UC Davis’ MBA program in 2015, Jeremiah is currently working as a Project Manager focusing in Biz Ops. He also helps advise start-ups in the Bay Area. Outside of his professional life, you can find him on his bike or traveling the globe with his camera.
Peony Wong – Dir of Event & Production
Peony currently works in the Biotechnology industry with a focus in commercial operations and project management. She received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and her MBA from UC Davis. She is a Bay Area native and in her spare time likes to bake, travel, watch sci-fi films and spend time with her family and friends.
Amelia Whatcott – Dir. Speaker Relations
Amelia was born in Salt Lake City, UT with a passion for life. She loves basketball, the beach, and a good book. But the things Amelia loves the most are her family and friends, with her niece and nephews at the top of the list. Amelia is excited for the opportunity to work as the Director of Speaker Relations this year for TEDxUCDavisSF and is certain this will be an event to remember!
Noah Mandel – Dir. Biz/Partnership Development
East coast born and raised, Noah made his way out to the west coast about two years ago to escape from the harsh New England winters (and summers). After graduating from the University of Connecticut and a brief stint at law school, he began working in the food industry. This is where he still currently finds himself today as the Business Development and Marketing Manager in Natural/Organic and Specialty products for the largest distributor in the country. Outside of looking in the mirror, his hobbies include: long walks on the beach, wearing eccentric hats, and hula hooping.
Cassandra Cabral – Speaker Relations Manager
Cassandra Cabral is a Project Manager at the Office of Development at Stanford University. Hailing from Canada, Cassandra attended the University of Toronto and achieved her BA with a double major in History and Art History. She started her career traveling the world as an art dealer and then settled in Miami, Florida and worked at the Bass Museum of Art where she managed the education and public programs. Eventually, she wanted to find out for herself if the west coast was actually the best coast so she moved to California and has now confirmed that this maxim is indeed true. Vanessa Wei – Speaker Relations Manager
Vanessa Wai is passionate about social impact work and developing solutions to issues, such as poverty. She currently works at Benetech, a nonprofit technology social enterprise that empowers communities in need by creating scalable technology solutions, including projects in the fields of global literacy and human rights.
Matthew Low – Biz/Partnership Development Manager
Matt is a San Francisco Bay Area native and 2019 MBA candidate interested in finance and strategy. He has extensive risk and assurance experience in the public sector and strives to help organizations make informed decisions. Outside the classroom and workplace, Matt can be found gaming on the PC, trying out new restaurants, or spending time with friends and family.

When Evita is not sitting behind a computer analyzing numbers she enjoys running, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. She is a Bay Area native and UC Davis Alumni, currently in her second year at the UCD GSM.
